Roller Skate Physics!
In this class, students will learn to skate or level up their skate skills while learning and applying principles of the physics of movement! Skaters will learn beginning, intermediate and advanced skating skills and build confidence in themselves through movement and play and learn about the mechanics and maintenance of their skates. The class will include on and off skate's activities and games. Skating skills introduced will include stopping, turning, skating backwards, manipulating edges, jumps, and crossovers.
*Full safety gear is required for the class: roller or inline skates, helmet, elbow pads, wrist guards and knee pads. Students may bring their own if they have them or skates and safety items will be provided if not*

FEE: $195 + $25 materials fee

Julie (skate name Boom Boom) loves to share her passion for roller-skating. She is a level 2 certified instructor through the Skate Instructors Association (Skate IA) and has years of various skating experience in artistic, casual, street/trail skating, and roller derby. She is an instructor with Doomsday Skate School and teaches classes throughout the county, coaches youth roller derby, and volunteers with The SLORoll, a local community initiative focused on developing the skate community in the county. |
