CPR & First Aid Class
Students will learn how to recognize and care for a variety of fist aid emergencies using the American red cross guidelines: check, call and care method. You will learn to communicate your emergency and location, learn CPR for an adult, child and infant. You will learn the importance of your own safety, how to check if a scene is safe and the importance of using personal protective equipment when providing care. This is a fun class where you will have the opportunity to ask questions, solve problems, and participate in group activities all while learning lifesaving skills. You will be issued a certificate upon successful completion of the class - valid for 2 years.

TIME: 10:30am - 12:20pm
FEE: $130 + $50 materials fee (S1 & 2); $150 + $50 materials fee (S3)

Deb has the following experience and certifications: Emergency Medical Services Instructor at Cuesta College and Allan Hancock College for over 25 years. Certified Emergency Medical Technician for 42 years. American Red Cross and American Heart Association Instructor . Also Cal Poly graduate in Therapeutic Recreation Administration 1981. She worked as an aide for CFK last year and really enjoyed the experience. She is looking forward to teaching for CFK this summer!” |
