Student IDs

How to buy your Student ID Card
Currently registered students can purchase a Cuesta College ID online via their MyCuesta portal:

1. Login to your myCuesta Portal
2. Locate the 'Registration' tile 
3. Click Register for Classes
4. Select the correct term from the drop-down link and click continue
5. Click Optional Fees tab
6. Click Add Fee on the Student ID Card
7. Click Proceed to Payment or Pay Now
8. Select the correct term from the drop-down link and click Pay Now
9. If you are receiving the Cuesta Promise, do not continue. The Promise will cover the fee now that it has been added to your account.  
10. If you are not receiving the Cuesta Promise, click Pay Now and enter your card information to pay the fee. 

Students who prefer to print their ID cards while on campus can visit the SLO Campus or North County Campus.

How much do student ID cards cost?
An ID card can be purchased/renewed for $10 for each semester (spring and fall) or $5 for summer. 

Note: For lost or stolen cards, there is a $2 replacement fee. 

Students who buy ID cards will receive an email inviting them to download our digital ID card (see "Digital student IDs" section). While digital IDs are our default, students can submit a request to have a physical ID produced (see "Pick up your ID card in person" section).

Students who purchase IDs through the MyCuesta portal will receive an email to their @MyCuesta address, inviting them to create their digital Cuesta College student ID card. 

Instructions on how to download the app to create your digital ID card will be included in the email invitation. 

Digital ID cards will be the default ID card for students, though physical IDs will be available to students upon request. See the "Pick up your ID card in person" section below for more details.

IMPORTANT: When creating your digital ID card, you will be asked to upload a clear picture of your face. Please note, we will not accept the following pictures:

• slanted or angled selfies
• Photos with hats, sunglasses or animated colors and filters
• Photos older than 1 year

Digital ID Photo Requirements:

• Whole face and eyes must be clear and visible
• Leveled photo
• Well lit "dark shading that can obscure your face
• Clear background 
• You (the student) should be the only face or subject in the picture
• No pictures with pets, friends, or multiple people. 

 

Students may have their physical student ID cards produced in person at the Admissions and Registration Windows. Remember you must pay for your student ID card before/upon pickup.
