Centralizing Student Services Location (SLO Campus)
Cuesta College’s top priority is to maintain the well-being and health of our students
and employees, while supporting student completion of their educational goals. Your
patience is appreciated as we continue to navigate this rapidly evolving situation.
We are in constant communication with public health experts and the chancellor’s office
to ensure our campus is aligned with their recommendations.
As Student Services continues to provide support for students on campus, we decided
to centralize all services to the Library (Building 3200). Effective tomorrow, Tuesday
March 24, 2020, the following services are available in the Library: Enrollment Services
(Admissions and Records), Financial Aid, Transfer Center, Food Pantry, CaFE Program
and Chromebook check out.

Transfer Center
Dear Cuesta Student,
We understand the current pandemic has brought about many changes in your lifestyle
and education. These are challenging and stressful times for many. The situation has
prompted concerns related to completion of coursework, especially for those planning
to transfer to a university Fall 2020. We would like to encourage you to try to complete
the courses listed on your application for Fall 2020. We are awaiting information
from the CSU and UC systems on how they will respond to situations where students
are unable to complete the required or desired coursework. At this time, this is what
we know:
- UC applicants should continue to make changes to their Transfer Academic Update until March 31, 2020.
- The UC system has stated they "will exercise as much flexibility as possible when it comes to meeting admissions requirements and selection criteria, but flexibility will vary by campus".
- If you have received an admission decision to a CSU or UC you will want to notify the UC or CSU campus of any schedule changes. Follow the instructions in your admission letter.
- Cal Poly SLO Admissions stated they expect there will be some level of flexibility but at this time no determination has been made on what this will entail.
We will be here to advocate for you, if need be. If you have any questions after contacting
your university admissions office regarding your situation, please do not hesitate
to contact us. We hope you follow the recommended practice of social distancing and
take good care of your health.
Warmly,
The Transfer Center Team
