Schedule Conflict
A student must obtain approval on a Schedule Conflict Petition to be allowed to enroll in conflicting classes. This form may not be used for waitlist clearance in conflicting classes.
-
The student must provide rational justification (scheduling convenience is not one) of the extenuating circumstances as to why the student must enroll in overlapping courses.
-
Course meeting times and days must be clearly noted on the petition.
-
The instructor whose class time will be missed must document how they will monitor and oversee the time to be made up at some other time during the same week under immediate supervision.
-
The instructor of the class where time will not be missed must sign the petition to acknowledge that the student will not miss instruction.
-
For time conflicts, the division chair and academic dean of the course must sign approval on the Schedule Conflict Petition.
