Family Courses

Title V limits the ability to repeat a course in physical education (kinesiology), visual, and performing arts designated as an "active participatory" course. Students are limited to one enrollment per course and up to a maximum of four (4) enrollments within a family, if there are more than four courses. 

• For a passing grade (C or higher), one enrollment per course within a family is allowed, which includes prior enrollment in equivalent courses.
• For substandard grades (less than a C), including a W, students will be blocked at their 3rd enrollment attempt and must complete a Third Enrollment Agreement to be cleared to enroll for the 3rd time with the following exceptions:
  • A maximum of three (3) W symbols are allowed on the student's transcript for the same course.

  • No more than two (2) substandard grades may be alleviated within the allowable repeat limits.
