Discover Italy: A Traveler’s Roadmap to the Perfect Trip!
The goal is to give all the necessary information to enjoy a trip to Italy avoiding all the misunderstanding due to a lack nor imprecision of communication.
The courses is divided into 3 parts of 3 lessons each. The first is focused on what to learn before the departure: basic grammar and reading in the proper way, basic sentence structure and essential propositions, the best way to use the verbs “essere” and “avere”.
The second part will be based on practical role plays: how to introduce yourself, how to ask for help and or some information, how to rent a car, take a bus a taxi or train, at the restaurant or coffee shop, gift or fashion shop.
The last part will be focused on practical tips and information to avoid inconveniences i.e., regarding your documents, visa, medical insurance, bank and exchange currencies, public transportation, food, museum, driving related problems.

Michele (“mee-keh-leh” “mee-kay-lay”) or “Michael” is an Italian man who has travelled the world, is keen on food & wine, has learned from many different cultures, and now has settled in California. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, is a Certified Life Coach and has graduated in the Culinary Arts. An enthusiastic, skilled Italian cook, he is an expert in the Mediterranean Diet, a proven healthy, tasty and above all enjoyable lifestyle. |
Martina Scatollin |
Martina Scattolin was born in Venice, Italy, and raised in the Dolomites. She moved to the United States in 2019 after receiving her B.A. in Italian language and literature from the University of Rome and a M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Venice. She has been teaching online and in person, building curriculum, and Italian learning resources since 2016. |
