SAN LUIS OBISPO – The fall semester begins August 12 at Cuesta College. Students can find a comprehensive listing of classes on the class finder and register for courses at bit.ly/cuestaregistration through August 25 with instructor approval. 

“At Cuesta College, we’re committed to guiding and supporting you on your journey, pursuing transfer to a university or elevating your career,” said Superintendent / President Dr. Jill Stearns. 

The fall term runs through December 13. Cuesta College also offers less-than-full-term courses that run between three and 17 weeks. Course fees for credit classes are $46 per unit, and noncredit courses are free. Recent local high school graduates can attend fee-free for two years through the Cuesta College Promise Scholarship.

Cuesta College provides a variety of comprehensive degrees and certificates across several areas of study, including:

Campus Locations

Cuesta College courses are available at three locations throughout San Luis Obispo County, including campuses in San Luis Obispo (SLO) and Paso Robles and the South County Center at Arroyo Grande High School. Classes are also offered online, and local high school students can participate in the College and Career Access Pathways Program.

South County Center Reopens

For the first time since the pandemic, the South County Center at Arroyo Grande High School offers in-person classes, including courses in Ethnic Studies and Statistics. Free noncredit courses in English as a Second Language and the Emeritus College (enrichment courses catered to the older adult community) are also available.

Fast Track Registration Days

Prospective students have two more chances to take advantage of Fast Track Registration Days:

  • August 10 at the San Luis Obispo campus
  • August 17 at the North County campus

These one-day sessions provide comprehensive support and assistance with academic counseling, financial aid, online orientation, class registration, and more. Walk-in registration is available, but participants are encouraged to register online.

Connect@Cuesta Events

New Cuesta College students are invited to attend Connect@Cuesta, a free event designed to help you integrate into the Cuesta College campus community:

  • August 29 at the San Luis Obispo campus
  • August 31 at the North County campus

Food Trucks & Vending Machines

Food trucks are available starting this semester in the 3100 Courtyard at the San Luis Obispo campus Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.:

  • Mondays: SLO Dog
  • Tuesdays: Leslie’s Taqueria
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays: Central Coast Pizza Trolley 

Cali Cup’s coffee cart also offers hot and cold beverages, freshly baked goods, and acai bowls on the SLO campus, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additionally, vending machines are conveniently positioned throughout the SLO and North County campuses, restocked and refreshed regularly with drinks, snacks, and hot and cold food options.
