Do Your Best and Get Help When Needed!
For many universities GPA is very important, especially if the university or
program is impacted. Here are some tips to help you learn how to be the most
competitive applicant you can be:
-
Learn How to Be a Successful Student and use Campus Resources to Help You Succeed
-
If you are struggling in a course, reach out to a counselor for help. Discuss support services available and the option of withdrawing from a course (and any potential positive/negative implications).
-
Review campus policies for Academic Renewal (which can alleviate up to two semesters of substandard grades if they were at least one year prior and a certain number of units and GPA was attained since then) and Course Repetition. Both can have a positive impact on your GPA. Meet with a Counselor for more information.
-
Balance out your time. Make sure to give yourself enough study time to be successful in your classes. Adjust your load if needed. Manage your stress with good self-care.

Remember that your effort now can impact your future!
