In collaboration with the Cuesta student Art Circle, the Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery is launching a new bi-monthly series featuring graduates of Cuesta College and Hancock College's art programs. The intent of this series is to celebrate the work of our alum and inspire current students to think of their practices and career paths in new ways. This event features Cristal Tappan and Joshua Solis and will be moderated by Brittany Mojo, Cuesta College ceramics lead and Emma Saperstein, Miossi Gallery Curator.

About Cristal Tappan: Cristal Tappan was born in 1990 in Los Angeles and grew up between San Luis Obispo, California and Prescott, Arizona. About Joshua Solis: I am Hispanic, from Santa Maria, CA, second generation in the US, and first-generation in my family with a college education. I was raised Catholic and my parents imparted their cultural values to me. In Spring of 2017, I was able to achieve my MFA in Sculpture at San Francisco State University, San Francisco, California. I now say with pride, I embrace my past which has guided me, step by step, into the artist I am today.
