DESCRIPTION
“Fuck it! I’ll Do It” inspired by Kihinde Wiley’s words and works after his version of the biblical Judith which depicts a Black woman who decapitated a white woman (I inserted Artemisia Gentileschi’s Judith). Other artists’ fragments included are from Jacob Lawerence (the children near the hem), Henry Ossawa Tanner (the floor from his The Annunciation) and Alma Woodsey Thomas (the halo) as a tribute to Black artists.
