Online Teacher Certification Courses:

The Online Education Committee has established 3 options for certification. The options are fully online facilitated courses; offered every semester; the online courses starts around the third week of the semester in Fall, and Spring, and during finals week for Summer. Flex Credit or compensation (if approved) is available.

Meet and Use Canvas: 

You should use the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) to provide instruction to your students (synchronously or asynchronously)!! Students must be authenticated by a LMS using their Cuesta User Profile (log on and password) to meet ACCJC and Title 5. Once they enter your course you may provide access to your course materials, online meeting space (zoom or conferences), and / or publisher site. 

CREATE and USE Accessible Content: 

It is required by law and Title 5 that all course content; regardless of delivery modality (DE or F2F) be accessible at the start of the course. Because we receive federal funding, all Faculty and staff have a responsibility to ensure all material provided to students or the public meet ADA Section 504 and 508 standards.
