CalWORKs Rights and Responsibilities
CalWORKs recipients who wish to receive an education have the right to do so in most cases, however, CalWORKs students also have a responsibility to continue to meet eligibility and other county requirements in order to maintain those rights.

Responsibilities
- Complete Cuesta College CalWORKs Intake Process
- Meet with an academic counselor to develop a Student Educational Plan (SEP)
- Compliance with your Welfare-to-Work (WTW) or Self-Initiated (SIP) Plan
- Meet academic progress standards
- GPA of 2.0 or higher
- 67% or higher completion of attempted credits each semester
- Apply for financial aid
