The course has reached maximum enrollment and a waitlist slot is available.

Select “Waitlist” from the Action drop-down list in the error message, then click the “Submit Changes” button to waitlist yourself for this course. Check your myCuesta email daily for notification of available seat. See waitlist information for more details.

Closed – Waitlist Full ##

The course has reached maximum enrollment and all assigned waitlist slots are full.

Search for another course. Check periodically to see if a waitlist slot opens for this course.

Corequisite ## required

You must enroll in all courses designated as corequisites in the Class Finder.

Enter all corequisite CRNs in the Add Classes Worksheet simultaneously then click “Submit Changes.”

CRN does not exist

The 5-digit CRN (Course Reference Number) does not exist for the term.

1) Make sure you are registering for correct term - look in upper right corner by your name for Term. 

2) Correct term but wrong CRN. First digit must start with the following number for the term:
3=Spring; 5=Summer; 7=Fall
Return to Class Finder and find the correct numbered CRN for the term.

Department Approval

Enrollment in this course requires department approval.

Refer to the online “Class Finder” and review the comments for directions on how to obtain approval to enroll in the course.

Duplicate Course with Sect ###.

You are already enrolled in another CRN for the same Subject/Number.

Review repeat policy. If you are attempting to enroll in multiple ECOL courses with the same course number, you will need to submit a repeat petition.

Holds

You have a hold that prevents registration.

You will be directed to the department that placed the hold and a contact phone number. Review your account balance as you may have a delinquent debt owed.

Attend the first class meeting or contact a Distance Education instructor by email to obtain an add code.

Add codes are 6-digit alpha numeric and are case-sensitive.
Enter all letters in CAPS.
Try entering letter O instead of number 0.
Try entered letter I instead of number 1.
If you are still having an error, contact the instructor for another add code and make sure the CRN is correct.  Instructors may be assigned to multiple CRNs and mistakenly issued you an add code to a different CRN then the one you need to enroll.

Section Census Past

Authorization Not Allowed
The deadline to enroll in a course is one day prior to the Census date.  

 As of Census date or thereafter, it is past the last add deadline to enroll in the course. If you have documented extenuating circumstances that prevented you from enrolling in the course but have been participating prior to Census, you may submit a Late Add Petition with supporting documentation to validate your circumstances.

Level Restriction

You have applied as a Dual Enrollment (Enrichment) student who will be attending Cuesta while concurrently attending high school. You may enroll in classes previously approved and submitted on a Permit to Enroll form.

Go to “Check Registration Status” to confirm approved Permit to Enroll courses. Submit another Permit to Enroll to add additional courses. No longer an Enrichment student? Submit an admission application for the term to update your status to a First Time College Student.

Maximum Hours Exceeded

You may not exceed 19 credits for the spring/fall term; 9 credits for the summer term. Enrichment students may enroll in a maximum of 11.0 credits for the spring/fall term; 9.0 credits for the summer term.

With the exception of Enrichment students, contact a counselor for approval to enroll beyond the maximum credits allowed based on your past academic performance/GPA.

Open-### Waitlisted

The class is closed but has an available waitlist slot. A seat may be open but on reserve for prior waitlisted student(s).

Past Add/Census

The deadline to enroll in a course is one day prior to the Census date.

As of Census date or thereafter, it is past the last add deadline to enroll in the course. If you have documented extenuating circumstances that prevented you from enrolling in the course but have been participating prior to Census, you may submit a Late Add Petition and attach supporting documentation to verify your circumstances.  

Prerequisite and Test Score Error

You have not met the required prerequisite requirements for this course.  Or you may be required to enroll in a co-requisite course.

Review course co/pre-requisites posted in Class Finder.  Some math and science courses have more than one class as prerequisite. 

Readmission

If you have been absent 2 or more semesters, you must submit an admission application upon your return. Enrichment students must submit an admission application each term they wish to be specially admitted.

Repeat exceeds limit in “XXX” course repetition family.

You are limited to a maximum of 4 enrollments in designated kinesiology, visual, and performing arts grouped together with a “family” of courses for the same course content.

Enroll in an alternate course within the “family” if you have not reached the maximum of 4 enrollments. You may not enroll beyond the maximum of 4 enrollments within a "family" of courses.

Repeat exceeds ## for satisfactory grade count.

You have exceeded the maximum enrollment attempts to successfully pass the class with a grade of C or higher.

If this is your third enrollment attempt, you may submit a Third Enrollment Agreement. If this is fourth or more attempt to repeat this course, review repeat policy.

Submit GED/CHSPE Hold

Students under 18 years of age, no longer attending high school and who have completed either GED or CHSPE must submit verification.

Submit a copy of your GED or CHSPE with a Change of Educational Level form.

If you incorrectly applied as no longer in high school, submit a copy of our high school transcript with Change of Educational Level form.

Time Conflict with ###

This course overlaps in time and conflicts with another class or waitlisted class on your schedule.

Drop the other course or obtain approval on a Schedule Conflict Petition for enrollment only - may not petition for overlapping waitlisted courses.
