Dr. Jill Stearns Swear-In Ceremony

On July 11th, Cuesta College’s seventh Superintendent/President Dr. Jill Stearns will be sworn in during the Board of Trustees monthly meeting. The ceremony will take place during open session at approximately 4:00 p.m. on the San Luis Obispo Campus in building 5400, room 5401. The event will be live video conferenced to the North County Campus in room 3213N.

Cuesta College administrators, faculty, staff and the public are welcome to attend the ceremony, which will include refreshments. It is recommended that community attendees park in Lot 2. For questions, please call the Cuesta College Office of the Superintendent/President at (805) 546-3118.

Dr. Jill Stearns assumes the position of Superintendent/President at Cuesta College on July 1st after Dr. Gil Stork’s official retirement on June 30th. After a nationwide search, Cuesta College’s Board of Trustees selected Dr. Stearns to serve as the college’s seventh superintendent/president in March of 2018. Dr. Stearns has served as president of Modesto Junior College since July of 2012. Previously, she served as the vice president of educational services, the interim associate dean of student learning outcomes, and director of financial aid at West Hills College.
