Tickets on Sale for Man of La Mancha
Cuesta College’s award-winning Theatre Arts Department is gearing up to present the Tony Award-winning musical Man of La Mancha at the Cuesta College Cultural and Performing Arts Center (CPAC). Based on the 17th-century novel Don Quixote, the college’s theatre arts students will perform the poignant and rousing musical set during the Spanish Inquisition beginning October 27.
“Man of La Mancha tells the romantic journey of a knight who sets out to right all wrongs and win the heart of the woman he loves,” said Director and Cuesta College Performing Arts Instructor bree valle.*
“Based on The Adventures of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, the show is filled with soaring music, romance, fantasy, and heartfelt gallantry. With a stunning five-piece orchestra, this production unfurls into a transcendent quest for justice, imagining a world beyond our wildest dreams.”
Man of La Mancha hits the CPAC Experimental Theater stage during the following days and times:

- Sunday, October 29, 1:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 31, 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, November 4, 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, November 5, 1:30 p.m.

Over the past several years, the Cuesta College Theatre Arts Department has received national and international acclaim. In the spring of 2016, the cast and crew of the college’s theatrical production Refried Elvis received six awards from the Kennedy Center after being featured at the 2016 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Oahu, HI. In the spring of 2015, the Kennedy Center selected original play pool ’63 as the United States representative at the 2015 International University Theatre Festival (IUTF) in Mexico City. pool 63 also received five national awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in the spring of 2014.
