Rowing

on Santa Margarita Lake with the San Luis Rowing Club

Learn the skill of sculling (sliding-seat rowing) as seen in Olympic competition on the beautiful Santa Margarita Lake. Basic water skills training will focus on individual "sculling" rowing with an introduction to team "sweep rowing". Participants will also learn the history of rowing including literature, art and film while taking part in an activity that exercises their legs, back, arms and shoulders. Come start your day on the water, but stay and enjoy hiking, birding, fishing, or camping…all available at Santa Margarita Lake.

FEE: $60; 50% off lake entrance fees for registered students

LOCATION: Class begins at the SLO Rowing Clubhouse by the Marina @ Santa Margarita Lake. Lessons are on the Blinn Bay.

INSTRUCTOR: Ted English and Jaime Bea
