Intro To Chinese Language & Culture I

This course is carefully planned to introduce how to learn to speak, read, and write Chinese at a basic level.  Focuses on the Mandarin Chinese Pinyin Romanization system as a tool for learning Chinese and solving pronunciation problems as well as using simplified Chinese characters.  It is an introductory course designed for people who have little or no knowledge about the Chinese language. The course also meets the needs of many people who are interested in doing business with China.

Intro To Chinese Language & Culture II

This course is to introduce students to Chinese writing system stroke orders for simplified Chinese. Students will learn the range of simple sentence patterns as a quick and easy way to convey information and ask simple questions to communicate on the most basic level. This course will provide students with opportunities to develop basic oral and writing skills in Chinese with emphasis on basic oral Chinese for daily conversation. Aspects of Chinese culture are also incorporated into this class.
