The fastest and most secure way for student's Cal Grant GPA to be submitted is electronically to the California Student Aid Commission’s system. If you have a valid Social Security number submitted on your Cuesta admission application and have completed 24 degree applicable units at Cuesta, your GPA verification will be submitted electronically from Cuesta by March 2nd and September 2nd deadlines every year. *Confirm submission at the California Student Aid Commission web site.
Criteria to be submitted:
- have a valid Social Security number submitted with your admission application and
- completed 24 degree applicable credits at Cuesta College.
Refer to Financial Aid to determine your situation if you have less than the required credits completed at Cuesta (i.e. high school Senior, completed less than 24 degree applicable credits at Cuesta, completed some credits at Cuesta and another college or in high school, etc.).
Don't have a Social Security Number? If you do not have a valid Social Security number (i.e. Dream Act students) or did not submit your Social Security number on your admission application, complete the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form and submit to a Records Office for manual submission.
Submit a Change of Information form with a legible copy of your Social Security card to update your Cuesta records for future electronic submission.
*Allow a few weeks before GPA verification information is updated.
