SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – Get ready to dig into spring gardening with Cuesta College’s 8th Annual Plant Sale from Apr. 11-14. The community is invited to shop a selection of student-grown plants, all cultivated with care by the Cuesta College Agriculture Plant Science program. Online preorders start on Apr. 2 and will be accepted through Apr. 9.

The students in Cuesta’s Plant Propagation and Production class have worked diligently to seed and transplant a diverse selection of plants suited for San Luis Obispo County’s unique growing conditions. Choose from an array of tomatoes, peppers (hot and sweet), cucumbers, zucchini, squash, eggplants, pumpkins, melons, and an assortment of culinary herbs like basil, chives, oregano, parsley, sage, and thyme.

“We welcome the community to purchase these plants and support a program dedicated to developing future farmers and agriculture leaders,” said Plant Science Instructor Seth Abugho. “Gardening, like food, brings people together in a shared purpose.”

How To Order

Proceeds directly benefit the Cuesta College Agriculture Plant Science program, which teaches sustainable practices in plant, soil, and water sciences.
