Cuesta College Police Department provides services to the San Luis Obispo and North County/Paso Robles campuses. The department adheres to the standards for the selection and training of Peace Officers as established by the laws of the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). 

Campus Police Officers are vested with full law enforcement powers and responsibilities throughout the State of California, identical to municipal police and sheriff departments.

Citation Issuance will begin on

August 24, 2015


- If you have not received your parking permit (before Aug. 3) you must come into the Cuesta College Police Department.

- Failure to display a valid parking permit will result in a citation. 

- When conducting business at Cuesta College Police Department you MUST do one of the following; either park in a 20 minute zone/Police business only signs OR purchase a day permit at a Parking Permit Machine in order to avoid a citation.

- If you are purchasing a Parking Permit be sure to have the following information; vehicle license plate number, drivers license number and a student ID number. By providing the above you will be able to successfully complete a vehicle registration form and retrieve your parking permit.

- Parking Permits are required while parked on all roadways

- Students with handicap placards are required to display a valid semester permit.

- if you do not have the funds to purchase a permit before citation issuance begins, you may fill out a vehicle registration form and charge the permit to your Cuesta College student account.
