Consult with a counselor to verify that you are on track to graduate!

In order to ensure timely evaluation, graduating students must submit the Associate Degree application no later than the last day of the semester in which requirements are being completed to avoid evaluation being delayed several months. Review information regarding catalog rights, residency requirements, credit for alternative education, and other requirements on the Ready For Graduation web site.

Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended, including official score reports (AP, CLEP, IB, etc.)  must be on file with the Evaluations Office.

All degree applicable postsecondary coursework is incorporated into overall totals for the degree. Incomplete or missing transcripts will cause your application to be denied.

Any foreign credentials must be independently evaluated and the official independent evaluation submitted to the Evaluations Office for use in the degree evaluation. Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, Inc. (ACEI) is the preferred provider, and a comprehensive evaluation is required. Use of other agencies must be approved by the Cuesta College Director of Admissions and Records.

Apply for Associate Degree

Complete the Associate Degree Application. You may submit your application in-person to a registration center, or by mail, email or fax. The date received will be noted for graduate priority registration deadline.

Evaluation Cycle

All correspondence is sent to the student’s myCuesta email! Monitor regularly!

Allow at least three to four months after official grades post for the term in which degree requirements were completed, in order to receive final notification of degree status. This applies to applications received by the last day of the term in which requirements were met. Applications received after that date are considered “late,” and the evaluation will be delayed several months. Applications submitted late for degrees earned in prior academic years will fall into the evaluation cycle for the term in which the application was received. Prior academic year term applications are evaluated last.

Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) Applicants:
ADT degree applications are subject to specific submission, evaluation and notification deadlines. Consult with the Evaluations Office, or contact the Cuesta College Transfer Center for complete information regarding these degree programs.

Diploma Mailing
Diplomas are mailed to the student's permanent address as it appears in the student's myCuesta personal information located in the My Web Services channel. Students may update their contact information in myCuesta. The Evaluations Office will not be responsible for diplomas not received via US postal mail due to incorrect address or other circumstances beyond our control. Students will need to reorder a replacement diploma.
