Beginning Woodworking

This class will present the application of power and hand tools to the mills and cabinet trade and is designed beginning woodworkers. Students will build their own bench while learning of varieties of woods, methods of fastening, types of joints and will emphasize use of general power tools such as table saw, sander, chop saw and planer. Safety is taught and re-emphasized daily and techniques will be developed so safety becomes second nature. Closed toed shoes required.
