Cuesta College has 2 ESL options:

Non-Credit

Beginning to intermediate level ESL classes offer foundational instruction in English language skills.  The Noncredit ESL course offerings include integrated skills, conversation, citizenship, and vocational/computer skills.  These classes focus on preparing students to communicate more effectively at work and in the community. They also help students develop technology and study skills. These classes are free and are for beginning to advanced levels.

Academic ESL (credit)

There is one credit ESL course, which focuses on advanced reading and writing and prepares students for degree-applicable English classes, career and technical education, and other mainstream college coursework.  Tuition fees apply, and Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. These classes are for advanced students.

The ESL office will help you determine which option is best for you.

Classes are offered during the following 3 semesters:

SUMMER (6 weeks): June – July

FALL (4 months): August – December

SPRING (4 months): January – May
