San Luis Obispo County’s only accredited community college is nestled in a beautiful location just minutes from the Pacific Ocean. Every semester, more than 10,000 students attend classes. But we offer much more than just a picture-perfect setting.
Most come here with the intent to transfer to a four-year school. Cuesta has transfer agreements with the University of California (Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz) and others. Each year, Cuesta sends hundreds more students to neighboring Cal Poly than any other community college in the state. Other students seek out our career technical ed classes to begin a career or return for additional training and a specialized certificate that allows them to climb up the career ladder.
